Erron's Story
Workplace
I have worked in the educational field since 1982. I started as a music aide/assistant band director at Lakewood H.S. while attending CSU Long Beach. I worked at Lakewood H.S. for 4 years and then student taught at Irvine H.S./Venado M.S. I worked for one year at Ramona H.S. in Riverside, CA. I then taught at Pomona H.S. for 7 years before becoming the music director at Simons M.S. (in Pomona). I taught at Simons M.S. for 17 years. During this time, I have taught...Expand for more
a jazz ensemble, many different concert bands, beginning bands, orchestras (both full and string) and beginning orchestra. Since December 2013, I've gone back to working in Riverside Unified as an elementary instrumental music teacher. I started as the string specialist, but now I'm back to doing band full time. I'm also teaching 4th grade general music and have started to learn the ukulele to teach to that grade level. I have about three years of teaching left before I retire.
