Esther's Story
Life
I am happily married to Scott and have been for going on 20 years. We have 2 sons Alex(25) & Thomas(15). We are now living in Oklahoma (of all places) but we are loving it and will probably stay here a bit longer - at least until Thomas graduates high school - maybe longer. esther63(at)cox(dot)net
School
In twelve years of schooling I attended way too many different schools - 7 total. So I think I was a bit too shy to have as much fun as others have had in high school. Oh well, I still had an okay time. But I was certainly glad to get the heck out of town when I finished. Best times I remember were working at the dairy queen, going out for late night drives and racing my pontiac catalina.
College
College was more a neccessity to get a good job after getting out of the Navy. I started in the fall of 1994 and received an Associate Degree in Nursing then in 2001 I graduated with a Bachelors of Sc...Expand for more
ience in Nursing! That was the best thing I've done in school! I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't received my BSN. Now I am going for my Masters in Management!
Workplace
Work is great now that I am no longer working at St. Anthony Hospital-way too much over time and having to take too much call. I Met some great people there but after 5 years Oklahoma Spine Hospital is the best!
Military
Boot camp was alright, I had a blast in Millington then headed for Norfolk Va. Kathy McCall and I keep in touch as well as Karen Tauber. Then Spain from 1985 to 1991 Wow that was fun! I met my wonderful husband there and we got married in New York in 1989! After getting out I enjoyed 8 more years in reserves/air guard before getting my commission! Now I am a Captain in the Air Force Reserves! Wow never thought I would be here! I can retire anytime now, but what the heck - I get great pay for a part time job.
