Hi I remember so little about those years at Crane and even less about my school mates. The few people I knew lived in the same projects as I did. I think about not being able to participate in extra curricular activities or attend any of the school's sports games. And often of not having a formal graduation. I left Crane in 67 due to family issues. I managed to pass the G E D exam a year later, ironically and un-ceremoniously on the same date I left school. I remember wondering that day, if I'd ever get to go to college and live on a campus. That didn't happen. However I did enrolled in Harold Washington's junior college downtown many years later. But I can still feel the sting when I'm around college educated individuals. I envy those of you who made it through I joined this site hoping somebody would submit a year book. If I had one I would gladly submit it. Because I now know how important it can be. I'm thinking if I had visuals, I'll be able to accomplish re-capturing this part of my past.
