Glenn's Story
Life
I grew up in Kensington near K and A. I graduated from Frankford High School in 1957, worked for a while, then went into the army as an infantryman from 1958 to 1961. After I was discharged I went to Temple U. and graduated in 1965. I majored in biology. I worked in the field from 1965 to 2002 when I retired. moved to East Falls and then, in 1980, to Germantown. We adopted the kids after we moved to Germantown. I am active with the Germantown Historical Society and do volunteer work there and I am studying and writing about the history of Germantown and the Civil War. My wife and I are both retired. I am interested in genealogy (family history), US and local history (Germantown and Philadelphia), and Civil War history.
I was recently awarded the Germantown Hall of Fame Award by the Germantown Historical Society.
