Eugene's Story

Life I joined the army and left Scranton in 1960. The Army sent me back to Scranton. Actually it was Tobyhanna. During the Berlin crisis of 61, the Army sent me to Paris, France. I spent 3 years in Paris at 29 Rue la Perouse, the famous Paris Blockhouse (what a deal--had an artist studio apt in the 17th arr). I married a French girl and was forced to learn French. I came back to Ft. Monmouth, NJ. and left the Army in 66. Where upon I joined up with NJ Bell as a repairman. I got a bunch of college degrees. I became an IT Manage...Expand for more
r in 76. I live in Eatontown( Ft. Monmouth, Jersey Shore, Sandy Hook) and worked in Freehold.(Molly Pitcher, George Washington)NJ. My Job with Mother Verizon went to India in 03, so I took a separation package. Yeah, 38 years of phone company is enough for one lifetime. I've been married 42 years (yikes, that must be some kind of record). We go to France every year. No kids, just cats. I still have family in Scranton. I don't get there much----really great people there-- but I've never really missed the town itself. Pithy huh?
