Eva's Story

Life Hi everyone! I am married and live in Dawson Creek BC, not far from home. Have been married for almost 25 years, and have a daughter. I haven't worked since 1977, when I had been working in the FSJ postoffice. We moved from FSJ in 1981, to DC when my husbands job consolodated with its office here. I have been ill with fibromyalgia, asthma and chronic bronchitis for all the time I have been in DC, with some good periods in between the bad ones. I am at the moment taking medication for the firbromyalgia, and doing very well. I do cross stitch, and needlepoint and read lots of books. I am not able to work full time, and as a result spend lots of time in activities that don't take a lot of energy. Well 2002 was a busy year and hasn't let up yet. Don was offered early retirement (due to the Premieur, as most who live in BC understand) and took it after much soul searching and deliberation. His last day of work...Expand for more
was the 31st of March! He had a wonderful 6 months of holiday and is now working again for 3 months with his old employer. In that six months off, he visited with his semi step mom in Edmonton. Her husband had passed away just before Christmas 2001, and she had a heart attack later on in December, and her daughter moved her from Vancouver to Edmonton, and she wanted Don to visit and help with furniture etc. He got home just in time to go to his class reunion. 1965/66 which included the class of 67 and 68. This was a great time for him, and I did enjoy it as well. Then we spent a couple of months just relaxing and enjoying life. He started doing some courses in ernest for future employment, and is still working on them. He has passed everything so far, and is doing great. I just spent the time on my forums, and stitching as usual. Picked some berries this year and generally enjoyed not having to drive Don to work.
