Eva's Story
Life
I have been married for 24 years. We have 3 children - 2 sons, 20 and 22 and a daughter, 17. I am a dental hygienist and work full time. Still live in Chicago! We have 2 dogs and a cat.
School
I came to Chappell in the middle of 2nd grade. I think I received a very good education there. I didn't realize until many years later that Ms Mullens must have been a Broadway musical enthusiast because I know the words to songs from Musicals that I've never even seen! And Mr Zerkof scare me when he would get angry and shout "Get that bloody pen out of you...Expand for more
r mouth!" or whatever he was upset about at the moment. But he taught me how to check my imaginary stocks in the newspaper and fill out my income tax forms - things that have been invaluable to me to this day. But, far and away, my favorite teacher was Mrs Anderson - 5th grade. She really took me under her wing and made me feel special.
College
I attended SIU for freshman year, UIC for soph year, then back to SIU for junior year. I finally decided on a major, Dental Hygiene. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1978 from SIU. It only took me 5 years!
