Eva's Story
Greetings, My sister Lillian and I attended HMHS for a short 2 1/2yrs or so. I graduated , went to work for the phone company after which I retired in 1999 after 31yrs. Met my husband there. We'll celebrate 35years next year. Hubby retired before me but still works at part time with few of our fellow co-workers. We have one daughter who's 27 and has been a hand full...thinks she still finding herself. We spend summers up in Michigan where we have a home and hope to finally retire to . Hobbies: I love to garden, just starting quilting thanks to my Michigan neighbor who quilts, did needle work and misc crafts, play Bunco once a month, love getting together with friends, volunteered at Christian resale shop, love garage sales (addicted to treasure hunting) and over all just been goofing off. rsonal info but a few names I recognized and have very fond memories of our time at HMHS...still have my class ring by the way. Hope to dig up my year book. Have a few questions though. My sister was very fond of Ms. Slovick (spelling?), the principal and would like to know what happened to her. In case there are 2 HMHS, ours was on Grace St., Chicago. Sis is coming to visit for her 12th grandchilds birth and if Ms Slovick had passed on I would like to find out. Sis still talks of her fondly and she would like pay her respects. Its a long story but she was a mother figure to sis. This is our 40th year since graduation and since we were a very small school, I didn't expect a reunion. I have my year book somewhere and need it to refresh my memories.....can't forget those terry smocks/dresses though. Well, hope to hear from some of you.
