Evan's Story
Life
I have been retired for several years now.I worked in the Motion Picture field for many years as an Independent Filmmaker. I went to College as an older Student,and had a great time. My wife and I live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with our eight cats, and seven dogs.Our three grandchildren come to visit on the weekends.We spend the summers on our Boat cruising the Allegheny River.
School
I had a goodtime during Grade School and High School. My interest didn't lie in good grades or anything, I just wanted to pass.I did resent some of the teachers at Wash Hi and Trinity as they tried to be a little too Hard-Ass. They also made it seem like it was so hard to get into college and I found out years later that it was so easy. I think both Schools put too much emphasis on the Football Team.
I hope things have changed in today's world.
College
I always made sure to have a good time at both Colleges that I went to,and I made sure that I Grad...Expand for more
uated from both.I was an older student but I really didn't feel out of place. Hell,I even scored a few younger Chicks.I started out at Penn State and my major was Letters,Arts,and Science.
At California University Of Pa. My Major was Communication Studies Radio,and TV and I enjoyed working toward the Degree.I started College when I was 39 years old and I had a blast. I really encourage other older people to attend College. Even if you are in your 90's
Workplace
I thought that all the jobs I had out of the Film and Entertainment Industry were a waste of my time. I don't think I ever left one of those jobs with good feelings,and I hated everyone involved with management or any kind of authority. However I did like some of the people I worked with on these jobs.Thats why I put the company's on the list.I think Newport News was one of the worst places I ever worked. I really hated Management there,and most of all the Supervisors on the ships under construction.
