Everett's Story
After 9th grade I went with my mother and brother to live in Mexico and stayed there two years (1951-53). Then went to East Denver High School and University of Denver (BSBA). Then Navy, Iwakuni Japan (near Hiroshima), Norfolk Virginia, Washington DC (National Security Agency (Briefer, like a newscaster, for department heads). Got a masters in economics. Then changed to IBM Corp (systems engineer, then sales). Then to my own small biz in communications. Then moved back to Colorado. Evergreen. Realtor. Then Maui Hawaii. Realtor-Associate. Now own apartment houses in Texas and Tennessee and manage the managers. Also do some maintenance for my Mom's properties on Maui. (Mom is 98, living on Maui, too).
First wife, Jane Ann Miller gave me three wonderful kids, living in Colorado, Idaho, and Maryland. 20 years later I remarried, to Mary Lou Mellinger. Both ...Expand for more
girls I met in Colorado. Both said I had the same faults. I listened more carefully the second time I heard that. I made a few improvements and this marriage seems like it is going to stick. We celebrated our 27th anniversay July 1, 2009. We love Israeli folk dancing.
In University of Denver I was in Dudes and Dames (demonstration square dancing).
The "now" photo is a few years old, while taking a trip to Alaska. The "then" photo is 2003, with grand daughter Jessie, in a tree in Kalama Park, Maui Hawaii.
I now have three grown offspring, eight grandchildren, and three great grands. And a happy marriage to a woman who my kids think is one of their best friends, I'm sure.
Life has been very good to me. I'm thinking of some of my old classmates and realizing that I have never stayed in touch with any of them. Sorry. Let's fix that. Let me hear from you.
