Ew's Story
37 years in a short story, yea right! Here goes. '72 went to college, never figured out that I really needed to read the text book to pass, so married a BA brat in 75 and got a job. Son born in '77 in Odessa where I was runnin a resturant. '78 she had enought of Odessa came back to big D. I got sent to Amarillo, had enought, back in '79, got the 'D' papers, quit resturant, bought a Vett & started sellin cars in '80, and still am. Got married again in '82, she liked the Vett. Daughter in '83, 10 weeks early, Presby is a great hospital. Changed job's, bought a house, changed jobs, sold the house got another still there in Mesquite. A...Expand for more
ll the normal stuff of life. The wifester had the big disc operation on her neck May'06, the 4,5,6,& 7th, got the metal rob put in, therapy didnt work, so she started walkin while I played couch potato. Jan'07 she looked great, I busted 200+ lbs (I was 145 in '72!)So I started walkin too or the 2nd set of 'D' papers was commin my way. I have now dropped 25+lbs, joined the Dallas Running Club and got into this whole running thing. 7 half marathons since my 1st one in Nov'07 and a bunch of 5k,10k,&15k races. We can loop White Rock Lake in 1 hr 30 min for the 9.2 miles. My only Grand child, a boy, turned 1 on 3/17. So there ya have it.
