Faith's Story
I enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in December 1995, commissioned as an officer in 2004, and I continue my service to our country, nearing 31 years. I currently serve as a military detailee at the White House Office of Management and Budget. During my AF journey, I have served at March Air Reserve Base, California; Ramstein Air Base, Germany; Scott AFB, Illinois; Robins AFB, Georgia; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; the Pentagon, Virginia; Travis AFB, California; and the White House, Washington, D.C. mily. In the civilian sector, I am an Illinois-licensed Social Sciences teacher. I served as a long-term substitute at SBHS and taught American and World History in 2005-2006. I'm happily divorced with two girls, Emma (23), who has one semester to go for a degree in early childhood education, and Kira (19), who is going into her Sophomore year at Rutgers University, where she is an Art History major. I continue my education as a doctoral candidate for a Doctorate in Leadership in Education, with a specialization in Educational Technology. I hope to finish it in the next year.
