Life I married between my junior and senior years in high school. I had to change from O'Keefe HS to Avondale HS to be able to graduate. You couldn't openly be married and attend school in the Atlanta City Schools in those days. After nine and a half years and three children, my husband ran off with my youngest daughter's Sunday School teacher. After going through so much pain, I finally prayed the prayer I had always been taught, "Let Your Will Be Done." After that, a peace came over me that I had never felt. I couldn't change what had happened, but I could now accept it and go on raising our three children. But, God had His own plans for our lives. He sent us a wonderful man just a few weeks after my divorce was final. Frank Kingsland needed us just as much as my children and I needed him. Ten weeks after we met, Frank married my three children and me. He said he had found what he was looking for in a family, and fifteen months later we completed our family with another son. He has been a wonderful husband and Dad, and we feel very blessed to have him in our lives. He adopted my first three children in 1971.
