Faye's Story
Well, here it is over forty years since we were handed those diplomas and ran to meet our futures!
I got married straight out of school. Had my first baby the following year. As most of you know, she only lived hour. Talk about growing up in a hurry, that my dear friends will do it for you. I had two more children. My son, Jeremy Sowell, graduated from GHS in 94, and played center on the football team. We were State Champs that year, so, yes, Mama was proud! He is serving in the military and has seen three tours in the mid east. I also have a daughter and three great stepsons who I was blessed with after Jeremy and Andrea were in college. From single gal with grown kids to married with rambunctious 10,9, and 7 year olds was such a blessing! I got a second chance at PTA, sports, band and lots of science projects.
I went to college at Wallace in Dothan and got my AA and AAS in Emergency Medical Training. I also got my Diploma at Chipola for the same so I could work in both states.

a features writer for a newspaper for a year after college and then as a medical assistant and vascular sonographer. I retired from our local Advanced cardiac and trauma rescue unit in 1999 with 20 years of service. It was a great group of folks to work with.
We, my husband Keith and I are living in Louisiana near New Orleans. We are getting ready to move back home to Florida and build our retirement home and do some farming, fishing and spend time with our grandchildren. We currently have four and they are the joy of our lives. We are hoping for more!
I think often of those carefree days of high school. I was less than happy when my parents uprooted us to attend BBI but after a few weeks I came to realize the little town of Graceville was pretty nice I am sad I didn't stay in touch with more friends, but thank Mr Zuckerberg for Facebook, I am finding more and more faces I remember!
I hope we can all get together soon. I missed the last reunion thanks to nasty hurricane.
