Felix St.Onge:  

Left NCIVS for Air Traffic Controller training with Transport Canada...Toronto, Ottawa then London, where I first qualified as a level one Air Traffic Controller in 1970. After a stint at Buttonville airport I landed at Pearson (then Toronto) International Airport in the Area Control Center working my way up to a top level operational controller. In 1974, Jane Elizabeth Reicker and I were married. In the years to come, we celebrated the arrival of four sons....Paul in 1980, Steve in 1981, Bob in 1984 & Chris in 1990. From 1982 to 1987 we lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where I was employed with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as a controller on a UNDP. Returning to YYZ Area Control Center, I retired in 1998. To create a second career for myself, I started at Sheridan College, Oakville campus in September 1998, graduating as a computer system analyst in 2001. Interesting & pleasant note was that my son, Steve, started attending Sheridan during my third year...initially Steve found passing in hallways & eyeing each other with classmates in the campus pub unusual but warmed up to the idea....he would be sure to yell out loudly "Hi Dad" whenever he saw me....my much younger classmates found that a hoot. After college I was employed with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in the Information Technology department in Toronto where I retired in December 2014. Hobbies\activities during my life include; first & foremost my spouse & sons provided all my memorable activities & memories, then in my self-indulgence: obtained a private pilot's licence (Cessna 150, Piper PA-28 Cherokee), skydiving, scuba diving (the Red Sea was great for this), downhill skiing....next goal...retiring w...Expand for more
