Life My Spouse I entered Subiaco Abbey after WWII, became a Benedictine monk but decided to switch to the diocesan priesthood. Got permission to leave the Abbey to find a bishop who would accept me as a priest in his diocese. Had appointment with Bishop Pashang in Grand Island, Nebr. While the "purple" tape was being unraveled, got permission to take a job and the people in the office kept inviting me and a girl in office (in Omaha) to socials. I started missing her when I went back to the Abbey for visits and reporting to the Abbot. Realized I preferred to stay with her. Went to the Bishop, who said "Go Pray", she outprayed me and I asked her to marry me. Rome gave me permission to marry and relieved me of my vows of poverty, chastity,and obedience.
