Florence's Story
I moved to San Francisco CA in 1967 from CHicago with my husband. In 1968 we moved to Murray Park across the Golden Gate Bridge. In 1972 we moved to Muir Beach CA and built a home, my husband passed away in Nov. 1979. I then rented out my home and moved with the company I worked for as a data entry supervisor and cobal programer, when PC's came out and I became obsolete 1992, I became a Real Estate Broker for a couple of years, and quit to move back to the beach, doing temp jobs until I got a job as an inn keeper, bar tender...Expand for more
, waitress, host, breakfast cook until 2005, when I moved to be closer to my cousing Wanda Morris Slayton Baldwin in souther california, so I would have family close when I had to get my heart valve replaced. Turns out not necessary until 2008. I now live in Torrance Ca four miles from the beach, and twenty minutes to LA. I like it here can walk to everything, I do still miss Muir Beach.
Mostly spend time on the computer or square dancing, where I have made a lot of good friends, I don't work, but am treasurer for the club.
