School celebrates 25 years with ice cream Guiding Light's owner Floriana Hanna (Morris) Scrapbooks filled with photos of children, newspaper clippings and other memorabilia attracted a myriad of people to reminisce of bygone days at a local youth learning centers anniversary party Sunday. Guiding Light Christian Education Center held an ice cream social to honor 25 years of providing child care services in Lake Havasu City. Guiding Light's owner Floriana Hanna (Morris)said kids are the same when comparing child care throughout the years, but nothing compares to seeing them grow up and bring their own children into the center. This, she added, shows a lot about the trust they have in her, her staff and her childcare center. In the beginning I had six children (enrolled at the center). Now I have 150 kids and 15 staff members,Hanna said. The Bruners are one such family.(Guiding Light) is the best,€ Woman recalls attending, then working at school said Havasu resident Dawn Bruner. They helped raise my kids. (The staff) is wonderful.She added she has four children who have worked their way through the Guiding Light program, has one child currently enrolled and two grandchildren currently enrolled. Tiffany Bruner, Dawn Bruners daughter and former Guiding Light student, said she remembers helping younger students during craft time and naptime once she was old enough.
