Floyd's Story
I was working two jobs when I graduated at age 17. when I turned 19 I went to work for odot in portland for ten years before transfering to Brothers Or. wich is 40 mi. east of Bend on hwy. 20. After 5 years there I transferd to La Pine where I retired in 2003 with 30 years at the young age of 49. Since then I been working with local contracters driveing trucks and other equip. to help pay for health Ins..
I got married in 1974 to a nice gal who had other ideas about being loyal. that ended in 1979. Then I met my present wife in 1989 here in La Pine.It will be 20yrs this Oct. We love to...Expand for more
the same things that make a couple a couple.
La Pine is a great place to live if you like two seasons . winter and summer. It's a challange to grow a garden and flowers as well. If you get them to grow the deer will eat them, ha ha. Lots of snow, in 1993 there was 156 in. to deal with that winter and yes thats me with the rototiller trying to rough up the ice so you woudn't fall and hurt yourself and it worked. Several people caught on and do the same thing. thats one I will take credit for ha ha.
My wife Nancy and I now have three dogs that keep us busy, but we love them. more later
