Flynn's Story
College
Some of the best days of my life. I love college so much that it took me 6 years to get a 4 year degree(it sounds like I'm proude of this yes? well I am). I know that most of you out their worked hard and left college in for years to find a great job that you would work for the rest of your life. I wanted to do that too, but the faits stepped in and I'm glad they did. College was some of the best time in my life the 3 years at NOC and the 3 at OSU were all great. Its a time that everyone is just trying to get though. I was also but I was haveing a great time doing it. I don't have enough space to tell you everthing about it just know this. College was the best, I don't miss it but I did love it.
Workplace
Since I graduated from college life has not been what I thought it would be, but it has been fun. I moved to Florida were I worked a short time at a large resort called South Seas Resort. I worked as a desk clerk hoping for more, more did not happen so I found a job in Tampa working for Luby's as a manager. Luby's was good to work for and they moved me around some. e. A good friend of mine helped me to become a General Manager for Accor economy loging (Motel 6). I moved back to Oklahoma and worked as a GM for 3 years. Motel 6 was a wonderful company to work for. I started looking for a new job in my 3 year only because Motel 6 was not the level I wanted to work at. I found a job working for Janus Hotels & Resorts as a General Manager. I was very shocked that I was able to make this kind of a leap. From 93 rooms at Motel 6 to 45,000 sq feet of meeting space, 304 rooms, restaurant, and a bar. The Hotel is old and has problems, but it has been a great experince. This job has also given me something that I thought would take years. I'm know at a level that most people work a life time to acheive. I'm thankfull for were I'm at and Janus is a company that has many other hotels that I could be transferd to. At this time they are considering moveing me to Indiana to be a GM of a Holiday Inn. If this does not work out they have told me that I have a place with this company. So to sum up I have meet all me goals 10 years ahead of time and now have set new one's. I do not take this for granted by no means at all.
