Frances's Story
Graduated from HS and three colleges, had two sons (Jake's 30, Chris is 24), got married (and divorced), worked as a cook for Nikki's Downtown, desktop publishing and bindery operations for Quartier Printing, worked on the REZ with my sister and father for Drive-In Cigarettes, sold cigars and lottery tickets for Kieffer's Cigar Store, drove truck and worked warehouse and retail for Dougherty's Masquerade and Fun Services, and jumped ship from NY to SD in 2004 to work for the government on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, handling the affairs of the deceased. es, but gratifying, knowing I'm here to help the people. If you check out the stats for Pine Ridge, you'll find that Shannon County is the poorest in the nation. It'll break your heart to live here, but four years ago, I was set upon this journey, sent across the country by a vision of hope and a death-bed promise, and here I'll stay. This is where I was destined to be. So, read, review, and let me know what YOU'VE been up to. UPDATE: On June 30,2009 I close on my new house - moving to Hay Springs, Nebraska, population less than 700. Same job, different sanctuary, can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!
