Life
Boy, has my life been full, since leaving the safe place
I called "home" for 41/2 years! I traveled around the middle of the country to places like, Chicago(Democratic
Natl.Convention) with a group of friends in 1968, Memphis,Tenn.,also in 1968. Went up to Ohio in 1971 for a 2 week stay, then, back to Dallas, where I went to work for the City of Dallas for about 5 years or so. I finally got married and that lasted 17 years, but unfor-
tunately, my genetic health didn't last.
In 1987, I had brain surgery, and 36 hrs. later I suffered a very severe bilateral stroke. After being in a deep coma for 3 weeks I awoke, and much to ...Expand for more
my Dr's surprise, I came 95%back to normal.
In 1990, a second brain tumor was taken out along with part of the back of my brain. It must have been the part that controlled common sense cause I split from
my husband 11/2 yrs. later. Although my health has con-
tinued to decline at a fairly rapid rate, I seem to be at peace with my life path now.
I'm not married, and have no human family( but then
I never did anyway), but I share my life and home with 4 cats and a confused dog.Being part Indian, I have been active in the Native American community until this past spring, but I still go to as many pow wows (dances)
as I can.
