Fran's Story
Life
Believe it or not, I'm still living in Montreal. I have been working for the past 8 years at Dawson College, where I started off as the Guidance Counsellor for the Continuing Education Department. I have been working as an Instructor and up until June, as the
Co-ordinator of the Call Centre Training Program. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Science (Concordia University) and Class I Teaching Diploma (Quebec) and a Master's Degree in Counselling (California State University Hayward). I got married for the first time on November 4, 1998 in Maui, Hawaii, on a beach a sunset(my husband is very romantic). I had many jobs before I started to work at Dawson College. I taught physical education at the elementary level for five years and Grade 3 for three years before going back to school for my Master's degree. I have also been the Executive Director of a shelter for battered women as well as an Immigration Counsellor for the federal government.

that I'm 66 years old and am still working full-time. I am working for Passport Canada which has been part of Service Canada since July 2013. I am now divorced and my ex-husband died several years ago. I am an avid scrapbooker and line dancer and am a member of Westview Bible Church. I live with my younger sister, Joan, in a condo townhouse which we purchased 7 years ago. My brother, Richard, lives in St. Hubert and the south shore of Montreal. Unfortunately, my older sister, Carolyn, died almost 2 years ago from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was a brilliant woman with a PhD. in clinical psychology who thankfully near the end of her too short life, didn't realize how many things she no longer new. Her granddaughter just became engaged and I hope to be able to attend her wedding in California. I don't have the details yet but I am saving my pennies and Airmiles so I can go to see her get married. That's it for now. One last thing, I legally changed my name from Frances to Francesca.
