Frances's Story
My name is Frances Rodgers, married name is Kelm I was around 5 years old when I was placed in my first foster home. I spent a couple of years being moved from one foster home to another, then finally being placed in the Immaculate Heart of Mary's Home for Children. I was placed there with my younger brother Sandy Rodgers. I didn't think much of it, maybe I was to young at the time to realize what was really going on. Rochester NY called Holy Angels Girls Home and from there I went to Ingleside Home and then I was realeased to my father. My mom was always the one that stayed in my life, along with my younger sister, so I ended up going to live with them. It was quite an adjustment for me, but I adjusted. I have two fantastic daughters and four grandchildren whom I love lots. I reside in Buffalo NY right now, this is home to me. I would love to get in contact with people that I was in any of the home with, or just people that lived there at anytime in there lives. We all have something in common.
