Francine's Story

Life I am married with 3 children (1988, 1990, &1995)and 2 golden retrievers! Our oldest daughter, Elizabeth, is a graduate of St. Gertrude High School an is a rising junior at Longwood Univ., and our middle child, David, graduated from Benedictine HS and will be a freshman at VT in the fall. Our youngest, Mary Grace, is a rising 7th grader at St. Bridget School. I have a home-based business (Silvermonkey...jewelry and pewterware). I was a CPA until children, then stayed at home. We lived in Dallas, Raleigh, and now Manakin Sabot, VA (near Richmond) I like to play tennis...I don't like working out, but I do to stay healthy! I am active with volunteer work, especially in the Catholic schools that my kids have attended. Fall 2004 was very hard for me as I lost my dad to diabetes. I miss him sorely. My mom passed away March 2007...a day does not go by without me missing her. o Va Bch when I was going into the 8th grade (Navy brat) - several years later my he retired from the Navy (after serving 33 years) and our family settled in Va. Bch. I have good high school memories. I really don't hear from anyone but 2 or 3 classmates :( I recently connected with Stephanie Larsen Black via email - she lives in Africa. I see and talk to Wendy Gentz regularly - she lives in Richmond. I am good friends with Pam Pitts Nooney, sister of the late Tim Pitts. She lives locally. My son is graduating from Benedictine High School and one of his best friends is the son of Andy Stahling, a 1977 KHS graduate - small world! College Graduated with a Business degree (accounting) in 1981 from ODU. Practiced as a CPA in Texas (husband's job took us to TX) for 7 yrs before having a baby in 1988! Workplace Worked as a CPA (5 yrs for a large CPA firm in Fort Worth, TX) then switched to Highland Park Schools, Dallas, TX as the district's accounting manager. Stopped working outside the home in 1988 to have a baby!
