Francine's Story
I was born on August 24, 1982, at Midland's Community Hospital in Papillion, NE. I was my parents' first born child. My parents had three more children after me: Francesca, born November 2, 1984, Francis, born July 30, 1990, and Francella, born March 11, 1992. My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer in March 1996 and sadly passed away on May 6, 1997. He went through a lot of chemotherapy and radiation treatments after being diagnosed. Ironically, the doctor who treated my dad was sued in court three years after he died for wrongfully diagnosing a woman with breast cancer and removed both of her breasts. It makes me wonder at times if my dad was properly diagnosed. Anyways, I graduated from Conestoga High School in Murray, NE, on May 13, 2000, as the valedictorian of my class...Expand for more
(I made sure I worked hard to achieve that for my dad). I moved to WA later that summer and got married to a complete loser. We had a son, Calan Terrence, born on September 11, 2001 (yes, the day of the terrorist attacks--I was in labor when this happened). I got divorced (took me long enough) after dealing with his abuse for almost 5 years. During the marriage, I went to Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, WA, and got my ATA in Business Management. Now I am happily remarried (as of September 24, 2007). My husband, Tim, adopted Calan on June 6, 2008. My loser ex-husband had no problem terminating his rights to Calan because he didn't want to pay me the $12,000 he owed me in back child support. We have a daughter, too, named Cierra Leeanne Sodden, born December 23, 2008.
