Frank's Story
Life
We (wife, Geraldine(Jerry) Leffler, South 65) now have been living in the Grand Junction area since November of 1983. Unfortunately Jerry passed away on Aug. 11, 2025 from pancreatic cancer. I have worked for the State of Colorado as a Property Tax Consultant for 26 years and retired October 2009. For a few years I served part-time (very part-time) as a property valuation hearing officer for Eagle (Vail), Gunnison, and San Miguel (Telluride) counties.
Music is still my hobby. I am the leader of two bands, Rock 'N Swing (we play everything from Glen Miller to Billy Joel) and a 10-piece big band (The Frank Bregar Orchestra), and I play with four oth...Expand for more
er groups. One is a polka band that plays in Gunnison, Almont, and Crested Butte. Website for the two bands is fborchestra.com. In February 2016 I decided to get my Armature Radio License reinstated. Took the Technicians exam, passed it, then applied for my old call sign of K0FHS and got it back. Having fun with radio again.
I have one son, Scott, and one grandson. My grandson, Andrew, graduated from Pueblo West High School this year (2023). Bought two Harley Road Kings a several years ago, but have not taken any long trips other than over the Grand Mesa (10,000 ft.). Finally sold the Harley in July 2016, so I guess my motorcycling days are over.
