Frank's Story
Life
I grew up in Glover Park, Washington, DC and went through school in the city, graduating from what is now Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts at Western, called Western High School then. Went into Navy for 4 yrs, then Control Data Inst. and spent 20 yrs with CDC. Moved to Minneapolis in 1981, then various jobs took me to Texas. There, I left corp. America and became Massage Therapist. I ran my own massage business with my wife of 37 years until our hands gave out. Now we have secured another source of income by working with the Lewisville Independent School District. I do technical computer work at a middle school and my wife works with ESL and special education. We also provide parents with the power to protect their children in the online and cellular world.
School

Workplace
After the Navy, I went to Control Data Inst and became support engineer on mainframe computers. After 20 yrs, left and worked for Zenith Data Systems in Chicago. Left them and worked for Northwest Airlines, traveling the world for work and pleasure. Microsoft took me to Texas. I was Technical Acct Mgr until 2000 when I left to become Massage Therapist. My wife and I owned our own business in Dallas, TX but after 6 years of constant massage work, my hands gave out so I decided to try my hand at the local school district working as a technology specialist at a middle school. I really love the technical work and the kids.
Military
I joined the Navy in Washington, DC and went to bootcamp in Great Lakes in 1962. Got orders to West Malling England with small Naval Air Facility that was later moved to RAF Mildenhall. Was there until 1965 when orders took me to the Hurricane Hunters VW4 at NAS Jacksonville. Spent 3 months in Roosevelt Roads, PR and left active duty September 1966.
Pretty good to spend 4 years in Navy and never aboard ship!
