Life Friends, & fellow classmates; I now reside in northern California, in the foothills of the "Napa Valley Wine Country" .. I've been out on the west coast for over 41 years! .. After graduating from COPIAGUE HIGH SCHOOL (class of 1965), I attended college, and worked in "Sales" at Macy*s in the Walt Whitman Shopping Center in Huntington, N.Y.; but nine months later I was drafted, and elected to join the U.S. Army's "elite" Military Band for a three year tour! After "basic training" I was a student at the U.S. Naval School of Music (Army Element), in Little Creek, Virginia, and upon graduation, was sent to the U.S. Army's 22nd Army Band at the Oakland Army Base, in Oakland, Ca.; and I was also "selected" for the U.S. Army's "elite" 4th Armored Division Band in Zirndorf/Furth, W. Germany 1968-1969. After touring W. Germany & Holland with the 4th Armored Division's U.S. Army Marching Band, Concert Band, and their Jazz Band, I returned to "civilian life" .. Before/After my three year tour; I attended the University of N.Y. and graduated from Diablo Valley College, the Ford Marketing Institute, and the Dale Carnegie Institute,.. I've worked here in N. California for the FORD/LINCOLN/MERCURY MOTOR CAR & TRUCK Division in their Sales/Leasing/Management end for the last 38 years, and am several years away from full retirement! .. I am also a successful NIGHT CLUB ENTERTAINER was/is in New York and the San Francisco bay area, for the last 44 years! .. I started out in the fall of 1965 in Farmingdale N.Y. at "The Hearthstone Inn" as Neal & Daisy Jensen's "piano bar" player/vocalist (My H.S. girlfriend's parents Restaurant, Bar Lounge, Motorlodge) and after my three years in the U.S. Army Band, came BACK to the bay area in 1969 and played with a popular group called "Piece's of Eight". ( A proud past/present member of the Musician's Union Local 802 N.Y. and the Musician's Union Local 424 Richmond, Ca. and the Musician's Union Local 6 S.F. Ca.) I've had the pleasure of being the "personal" piano player at the Concord Pavilion for the legendary ROSEMARY CLOONEY, and was also the piano player for the Concord Jazz All-Stars on the Concord Jazz Recording Label. I am "billed" in my Lounge Shows as the "Frank Sinatra" & "Dean Martin" & "Sammy Davis, Jr." of the bay area, (RAT-PACK SHOW)! No kidding! .. I've also been honored to be the "guest" singer/piano player with the famous bay area group "The Casuals",(Stan Christo, Bill Oliviera, Gil Esquerra) and also perform with Lake Tahoe & Reno's "Top Lounge Act" entertainer; Mr. DANNY MARONA! .. I was/am a regular visitor/performer at the annual "Solano County Fair", the annual "Cotati Accordion Festival" in Cotati, Ca. , the annual "Sacramento Jazz Jubliee & Dixieland Festival" in Old Sacramento, Ca., and the annual "Italian Festival" held in San Francisco, Ca. with the world renown accordionist, DICK CONTINO & singer JERRY VALE! (That's Amore!) .. I also had the honor of being the "first" Conductor and founder of the "Benicia Community Orchestra" in my town of Benicia, Ca. .. I also had the pleasure of playing for the late BERT PARKS (Miss America MC/Host & TV Game Show host) "twin" son's "Joel Parks" wedding reception in San Rafael, Ca. (NOW that was fun!).. I've been married for 42 years to my wife Joan (Moorhead) .. (we met at a USO dance); from Concord, California, who graduated from Mt.Diablo High School (Concord,Ca.) in 1963, and she also attended Diablo Valley College. Joan is a retail store merchandiser, (25 years) for a large Macy*s department store. .. We have three grown children; Christopher 41 (Plumbing Contractor/Heavy Metal "Rock Star") with Vicious Rumor's and Spiral Arms, he also appeared with OZZIE OSBOURNE; Stephanie 39 (Veterans Affairs GS-14), and Deborah 37 (Respirtory Therapist Nursing Student), and one beautiful 13 year old grand daughter(Jessica). I also love to spend time on our Sea Ray "The JEKKA-JO II", and cruise the many waterways and lakes near our home. I've also been fortunate to have played piano and entertain on the "Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships", "The Song of Norway" & her sister ship, "The Nordic Prince"(Royal Caribbean's first Cruise Ships) .. .. Over 43 years have gone by since my GLORY days at COPIAGUE HIGH SCHOOL in Copiague, N.Y.(Suffolk County/Long Island), and after going to my 40th H.S. Reunion, my "classmates" and I will NEVER forget the GREAT times we had in school" .. They also remembered my "Lead Part" in the musical "BRIGADOON" that we performed in our Senior Year in school!
