Frank's Story
Life
After graduating for GCHS, I went on to continue my education. I received a BA majoring in Biology and Psychology. I then moved on to Medical School. As a new physician, I wanted to do my specialty training on Long Island. First, I did a Medical Internship at Winthrop University Hospital. As a medical intern the hours were long and the work stressful. Taking care of multiple patients in the Intensive Care Unit at 3:00 am is something that definitely cost me more than a few hairs on my head. With my internship year done, I went on to my residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University Hospital Stony Brook. This was a four year residency. My last year I was honored to be selected to be the Chief...Expand for more
Resident and to sit on the Medical Board of the Hospital (as the resident representative). After completing my residency, I was accepted to a one year Fellowship in Surgical Pathology at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset /New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center. On completion of my fellowship, I accepted a position at Nassau University Medical Center as an Attending Surgical Pathologist. Currently I am Senior Attending Surgical Pathologist and Director of Breast and Gynecologic Pathology in the Westchester area. I married my former Chief resident (she is still my chief). She is a wonderful doctor and great mother to our 4 year old daughter Julia Rose and our 3 year old Amanda Grace. Life is good.
