Left K in 58 for USAF, had 10 hours of college credit before class of 59 graduated. USAF enlisted meteorologist, pretty much split time as line USAF Enlisted Weather Forecaster and attending various schools/college for staying up to date in field. Even got some time in Hurricane Hunters in FL, which was interesting. Great five year tour in Anchorage, even got 90 trip to Greenland to do ice research. Early 70's, 2 year tour in DC on early computers for weather research was educational and helped when digital age hit. Last assignment was NORAD at McChord in WA ended up as Staff Weather Officer to Boeing AWAC Test and other USAF flight testing. Got out after 14 years as bored, went back to school for BA in Business as well as taught Physics, Meteorology, and applicable Math. at high end private collage for couple of years to help with tuition (horribly high), even taught "Sailing" to pay for mooring my 30 sailboat.. Oddly found a job with Mercury Marine (of WI) as Regional Warranty Manager, often flew back to WI for meetings, etc., a fun job. Next to Lockheed with Program Office on LSD41 ship build. for few years, then to SDC in Seattle as Program Mgr, managed programs working on orange crash "Black Boxes' and other recording devices. Hobby and second most fun thing to do,Raced 30 ft sailboat nearly every weekend, cruised most of areas and few "educational going to met God,cruises/races in 60+Kts and blue water over the boat, but loved it and really miss being out there.
