Frank's Story
Yeah, well...life? Let's see...
Married 45yrs this yr; same long-sufferin' Catholic League woman. You? We live on and work a 1.4ac mini-ranch in W. N. Flo'da! It is beautiful here, way down upon the Suwannee River, far, far away. Y'all check it out sometime. We have 2 GREAT kids: Daughter Anne is an avid climber, biker, hiker, sommelier, raconteur and all-around outdoors enthusiast living in Portlandia where she serves the people as a waitress in fine dining. Son Eric is an avid bowler, golfer, team player and world-traveler living and working in Orlando. All this and can you believe having never worked a steady, full-time job outside the home in my entire life? Those of you who hated my guts, both secretly and overtly (you know who you were and so do I!), will be sorely disappointed to learn I'm still hanging in there. Don't ask me how or why. Diagnosed now with Muhammad Ali's disease (not primary PD like Michael J. Fox), those classmates both complicit in and contributory to this process will be only too glad to have done their part. As stated previous this venue, the list of people who've punched me in the head is both long and illustrious; that of folks would've liked to, much longer. Those who knew me also know I...Expand for more
pretty much just refused to shut up no matter what and took a lot of impromptu shots to the head in the bargain. That being sayed, any and all classmates at all interested for whatever reason in what I do can find out more about it on my website, Frank's Florida Hurricane Page, not to mention contact me directly there. I really, really like visitors to my website and answer all inquiries, whether personal or pertaining to the material presented therein. I remain remarkably and inexplicably hopeful of maybe one more good chase. Maybe this year; we'll see.
Update: Well, turns out I didn't have to go anywhere. All I had to do was sit tight and wait for one to come to me. That's Florida for you. Yes, we were very much in the last hurrah of the Great Hurricane right here on the pitch. We had some minor structural disruptions this time but less overall tree damage unlike last year when we lost an old-growth water oak to H. Hermine. Then a pretty rough go of it for 4 days with no water or power, I remain an enthusiast both compelled and awe-inspired by these great storms but suffice it to say this was a hard one..
