Franklin's Story
Life
After receiving my Master's degree from ENMU, I started teaching in Roswell. I am currently working at University High School (alternative high school). I can retire next year if I play my cards right. I'm not sure if I'm ready to retire but it will be nice to know that it's available. I began the Roswell Folklorico (Mexican/New Mexican folk dance group) about ten years ago and have been extremely busy with this group. nual show the first weekend of June. I have approximately 70 members in my group ranging in ages 4 to 82. We perform all over the state of New Mexico and West Texas. We are members of the ANGF (Asociation Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos) and attend annual conferences. This summer we will go to Riverside, California for a week to learn new dances from different regions of Mexico.
