Fred's Story
Married Linda (my girlfriend from Glendora while in High School) in 1968 when I came back from Viet Nam. We are still married and currently living in Lytle, Texas on a small ranch. We have 3 children and 6 grandkids. Went to college at Chapman University where I completed my BA in Psychology. Did graduate work at Redlands, Chapman, and Washington State Universities. Served in the USAF for 20 years as a survival instructor, training manager, and special planner and then spent a few years in Saudi Arabia with AVCO as a Senior Training Manager. Later worked at Lockheed Martin/COMPAQ/Honeywell/Sandia National Lab/DOE National Nuclear Safety Training Center as Technical Writer/System Engineer/Instructional Designer/Training Manager/Emergency Manager. hey were operating (leaving from East Coast and returning on West - with overnight stops in many countries (took a different route and used many associated airlines each trip while working in the middle-east). Saw a lot of the world. Retired in 2009 but did a lot of contract part time work after that. Have lived in Reno NV, Champaign-Urbana IL, Taichung Taiwan, Sacramento CA, Riverside CA, Glendora CA, Cape Lizborne AK, San Antonio TX, Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Daytona Beach FL, Titusville FL, Albuquerque/Los Lunas, NM, and now Lytle TX - don't plan to move again. Now I am just taking it easy on my small ranch (sold most off to my kids - who live next door) - no more travel - hiring people to do the work when something needs to be done - going fishing whenever I get the urge, making jewelry for friends and family, or working in my garden.
