Fred's Story

Life It was a dark and stormey night, opps wrong story. Yep, haven't changed any except older and hopefully wiser. Married to someone who has put up with me for 41 years, second time round. Three daughters, three grandaughters, two grandsons and one great grandson. Actually got my AA sometime ago, at nights of course. Planning on retiring in 2007 after 70th birthday. Have a travel trailer and spend lots of time on the nothern California coast. Live in the central valley of California and work as Superintendent/Manager of a Public Utility District providing service to a community of 7,890. Came to California in 1958 via USAF and stayed. Wife is retired after having our own doll shop for over thirty years . and finds things for me to do. Had open heart surgery nine years ago and quit smoking 15 years ago, believe it or not. The girls and their families live in Oregon and Washington so we get to visit the Indian gaming places often, there are four fairly close. Own our own home and drive a pickup, extended cab of course. Will add later if something important comes up.Oh, last time in Chester, 1972. UPDATE, RETIRED 3-1-0...Expand for more
6 traded in the pull trailer for a class a motor home and do some traveling. Added a Malibu as a tow behind, it gets 37 MPG the motor home 9.5 MPG. Who knows, may even make it back to Chester again, but gas prices have to take a very big drop to do it with the coach. Workng part-time, the better half only put up with me a couple of weeks before suggesting a part-time job, gee and after all these years. Work as an underground pipeline inspector for water, wastewater and irrigation Districts out in central California. Just think, first payin job was with Chesterfield County on the road department highway stripping crew. Talk about life going around in circles. I have a fun way, for me, to relax at home, get the yard tools and beat the weeds up. Away from home, hello Indian Gaming. Where have I lived? Well, let's see. In the Air Force, Texas, Maine almost in Canada at Presque Isle, Alaska north of the Artic Circle for 22 months, yep the sun doesn't set in the summer and doesn't come up in the winter, California where I now live. Started out in Northern Ca, Crescent City and ended up in the central valley at Visalia Ca.
