Fred's Story

Our first flying vacation with our 8 and 10 year old girls was to Washington DC in 1994. We landed at the Gaithersburg airport with our 1982 Beech Craft Sundowner. Upon our arrival to the airport the sun was just setting and we had the privilege of seeing a small herd of deer scattered around the perimeter of the airport we enjoyed DC the girls remembered the train ride the most :Go figure. Our next vacation we flew to El Paso Texas in 1996 we left the Sundowner at the airport and traveled to Grand Canyon via SUV a rented Ford Explorer. During this vacation we heard about the extreme difficulties experienced on the Indian reservations; I felt we had to do something about this but had no idea as to what. Every vacation after that we headed west and enjoyed the beautiful western landscapes from Brice canyon, Alamogordo Canyon, Grand Canyon, Grand Tetons, Wyoming plains Devils Tower , Yellow Stone, Moab and so on. I continued searching for a solution to the problem still not fully formulated the burning desire to help did not wane. The years passed conversations with friends co...Expand for more
ntinued but the question still went unanswered, We continued our vacation out west experiencing the beauty of the mountains. The news talked about the wounded worriers of our nation heroes failing to get the needed help; the ideas of helping still unanswered. I continued to look for an answer; it was in 2007 my wife and I decided to start a flying vacation venue where we could have positions in Hotel, Flight, rental, restaurant, and FBO services in a planed growth environment; we now had a plan but we need to find a piece of property to house this type of project. The search went on but now we were armed with a new plan. This year 2011 we were headed to Snow Flake AZ to look at some large plots of land for this venue; but the area had numerous fires and we didn't want to spend time fighting the smoke. So we headed to Moab this would be the first piece of the elusive puzzle. Having looked for locations in Grand-canyon Co, Holbrook AZ, And Gillette WY. we finely found a piece of land in Monticello Utah With the help of Anasazi Realty we found the location to begin our project.
