Fred's Story

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Fredrick (Fred) Byers on March 18th 2022, with his loving family by his side. Fred enjoyed a career in Advertising, as well as the Federal Government; however, he was adamant that his family was his greatest accomplishment. Fred was the beloved husband of Helen Byers (nee Gres), dear father of Diane (Brian) Redway, John (Sherrie) Byers as well as the proud grandfather...Expand for more
of Samantha Sjodin (Simon) and Shaun Byers. He will be fondly remembered by his many relatives and friends. Fred’s sense of humour will be missed by all. The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to Dr R. Beanlands and Dr L.O’Brien for their exemplary care. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday April 9, 2022 at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, In memoriam donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute were appreciated.
