Fred's Story
Hi Folks, I know some of you remember Me.
I was that rotten, twisted, skinny little kid from Tremont Rd.
You remember, My cousin Ricky got killed by the train on the trestle near town hall.
I trashed Rall elementary school with my sister and one other fella who I will leave nameless unless he wants to say who he is.
As punishment, they took Me out of the sixth grade and put Me back in Judy Rothbergs 5th grade class, God that was fun, but hell, she was the best teacher I ever had.
My Father died in 68, and I went absolutely berserk. Grew My hair long, started doing drugs, became a hippy and had more fun hanging out with the bad kids than I did in school, So at 16 I quit, Thats why I'm not in the bulldog for 73. I really despised Mr Epolitto, but loved Nick Baldo, rest in peace, and Paul Pudney who taught Me I could be a writer.

or several years with no real direction.
Joined the navy in 76, opened a bike shop when I got out.
When Mom died in 80, I left NY because there wasn't anything there but bad memories.
I travelled around the country for awhile, and landed in South Louisiana. worked on boats in the Gulf of Mexico, and travelled to South America and Africa.
I've been all over the world, and have had more great adventures than any man could ask for.
My prize came when I met a woman and her 8 year old son. Hard to believe, but his father was a bigger piece of work than I was. I raised him till he was old enough to not make the same mistakes that I did. He's 32 now, and he and his wife have given me 3 grandbabies that call Me PawPaw.
You see, God will let us redeem ourselves if we want to...
Now, with that said, Its carnaval season, and I'm going to Mardi Gras!!!
