Fredric's Story
Life after High school, I entered U.S. Navy for four years with duty stations in NAS Miramar, Calif. VF-121 Replacement Air Group unit operating F-4 Phantom ll; CBMU-302 in South Vietnam [ NAVCATs 11 & 18] and USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2) V-4 Fuels Division in San Diego, Calif. Then I went to electronic tech ( Brown Institute) school in Minneapolis, Minn for two years and was hired by Digital Equipment Corp in Westminster, Ma. There I manufactured PDP 11/70 mini-computers, worked in materials in semiconductor manufacturing in Hudson, Ma. Intel bought Hudson operation and I work in Litho area chip ops. I enjoy working nights.
My wife Linda passed July 2017 with lung cancer after 38 years marriage. We have Amy and Laura. Amy gave our first grandson, Conner Bai...Expand for more
ley. He is a 19-year-old sweetheart. His younger brother, Casey is 17 years old. Casey is also a sweetheart and a little devil. Need to keep an eye on them. Laura gave us two granddaughters, Lydia, 9, and Lacey, 7
I'm now retired from Intel after having lower back surgery in 2010. I'm enjoying our grandchildren and doing what we want. I'm a life member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) We are a Veterans group that assists other Veterans in need. I'm 80% disables. All internal.
I'm a prostate stage 2 cancer survivor.
I'm a life member of DAV Chapter 24, Leominster, Ma. Also am a service officer who helps other Veterans fill out Disability claims. a rewarding experience. I've moved back to Ma.. July 2023. I'm helping them now with my experience.
