Life Many @ CP will,at least,remember me for my 1928 Model A Ford Pickup Roadster. Jim B.....,Jeff S......,Norm C.....,Bob H............ come to my immediate memory as close friends during High School. I also had close friends that attended Lakes.Others,well,who knows? I spent most of my summers during High school on Steilacoom Lake in my boat. After High School I worked in retail. My most remembered was at Sprouse Reitz in Port Townsend as Assistant Manager. I was really wet behind the ears. This one ended up being more of a party life experience. I spent a little time with the Mafia (White Front Stores) on 38th street.The one that was the most fun was being a dept. manager for Foreman and Clark clothiers at Tacoma Mall. The most rewarding were the four years at Foss Launch & Tug. I was in accounting for two years and freight rates to Alaska the last two years. In accounting I headed the A/P dept. One responsibility was negotiating with oil companies our fuel cost for the extensive fleet. The last fuel contract I got for Foss was with Union 76 at $.34/gal. In the last four years of marriage I went to work for the family business. It is called E...... Sales Corp. and is still being operated by my brother Frank. Frank had only two daughters. One works there currently. This last January the company was purchased by the Geiger Co. publisher of the Farmer's Almanac. E...... Sales is an Advertising Specialty company and well known as the publisher of the Dot's Tide Book. For personal reasons I left the family business after four years. I landed in Seattle working for a Janitorial Supply company called Leonard Products which later became Western Soap. They got bought out eight years later. As a result, I was contacted by a local competitor suggesting that maybe this time I would consider their firm. After four years with this new company, Olympic Supply, I found an opportunity to be the regional factory representative for Sanitaire. This is the commercial line of floor...Expand for more
