Fred's Story
Grew up in Peace River, moved to Stony Plain at the end of grade 9. Went to UofA for 2 years, then left to join a rock band as a lead singer and toured Western Canada for 4 years with a band called ICU and then Kidd Romeo. Highlights of that time, we backed up Trooper once and Harlequin once. After that I went to work at a booking agency, then opened my own agency in Vancouver for 2 years. Came back to Edmonton in 1990 and started into the flooring industry full time as an installer. Started my own installation company "Cutting...Expand for more
Edge Flooring Ltd" in 1993 and opened our store in 2012now employing around 30 people. Taught Floorcovering at NAIT for 4 years in the mid-2000's. I now serve on several business boards and we belong to a few business networking groups. I married Sheri in 1988 and our first daughter, Brittany, came along in 1989 and our 2nd daughter Madisson in 1992. We live on an acreage just outside of Edmonton's West end and we have 3 grandchildren as of 2021. Both of our daughters are married and bought acreages in our subdivision in 2020.
