Fred's Story
Hello...
I would enjoy hearing from former classmates.
My wife Susan and I now reside in South Florida, Tamarac, Greater Ft. Lauderdale.
I was on the air as a disc jockey for 10 years in Miami and Washington, DC. Broadcasting has been my primary life's work. I was on the air as a disc jockey for 10 years in Miami at WINZ and in Washington, DC at WEAM and WEEL. My career in broadcasting has spanned over 40 years. I worked for the Voice of America in Washington, DC for 16 years.
We have lived in the DC area since 1970. We moved back to South Florida in July of 2011.
I worked for the FOX Television Station in Washington, DC, WTTG Channel 5 for 7 years. I worked various shifts which include FOX Morning News, evening and 10 o'clock news. Additionally, I have worked for the FOX News Channel and FOX News Radio in Washington. I did audio on Special Report with Brit Hume and audio for the Tony Snow Radio Show.
In 2004 and 2005 I worked for ABC News in Washington, DC doing studio network television control room audio. I regularly worked on GMA, World News Tonight and Nightline. I worked at CNN Washington for two years in studio TV network control room operations doing audio, camera and Robo-Cam. I did audio for Judy Woodruff's Inside Politics and worked many shows with Wolf Blitzer, John King and other air talent in the CNN Washington Bureau. I also worked for two years at Gannett owned WUSA-TV Ch. 9, Washington, DC where I did Robo-Cam (multiple studio camera operation) doing the weekend morning news.
Over the years I owned a One-Hour Photo and Glamour Portrait Studio Business. In recent years, I have worked NFL Monday night football for ABC Television Sports and NFL Football for FOX and CBS Television Sports. I also ...Expand for more

I also have a side business that became an offshoot of my graduating college, simply Google: Diploma Plaques. I am the first entry: Diploma Plaque Laminators.
I volunteered as an EMT for 12 years with our local rescue squad. Additionally, I did photography for the squad. I also do wedding photography.
Susan and I have been married for almost 43 years (Aug.1968) (Susan Class '67 -- Susan retired from USAirways at Dulles Airport) We have 3 wonderful kids Jeff 39, Gary 35 and Stacy 32. Stacy graduated from (GW) George Washington University in May 2004 with a Masters Degree in School Counseling. We have two beautiful granddaughters Kayleigh, born in 1999 to Jeff (who works in IT for Feld Entertainment/Ringling Brothers) and wife Jen. They are now divorced. And Alyssa, born to Stacy and Jon on Feb 2nd, 2010. Stacy was married in May 2008, to Jon who is a corporate financial attorney and graduate of Brandeis, Hofstra and New York University School of Law with a Masters and JD. Our middle son Gary works in sales for a copier company. He was married in December 2007, to Kimberly a fine arts major and graduate of George Mason University.
In 2007, I completed my life long goal of graduating from college. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management. I made the Dean's Scholar's List and graduated with a GPA of 3.97. I proudly walked in Omaha, NE in June 2007 with 800 other graduates to receive my degree. My family was present and shared my overwhelming excitement. I only wish my parents could have seen this and have been as proud.
So that's a bit of my somewhat boring life!
Hope to hear from you.
Regards,
Fred
