Fred's Story
Transplanted from Belleville to Texas in 1951, finished school here, had girl friends, married one of them, had 4 kids. Spent almost 3 years in the Army, 2 of them in Germany during the end of the WW2 occupation. Worked a family radio station then in the defense business for 36 years,before retiring in 1997. Lots of grand kids and a few great-grand kids now. The kids are sneaking up on retirement age now too. ng to get in touch with other former friends Gary Lindow and Giles Sinkewiz (?) Un fortunately, Ron Cook died a couple of years later.
Just to be remembered by old friends would be enough, and maybe a little correspondence now and then.
I was lucky enough to attend 50th class reunions from 2 schools, Belleville, Ill, after being gone for 52 years (knew hardly anyone after that long) and Terrell, Tex, where I graduated after 2 years (still a newcomer there).
Our middle daughter, Jan, died March 23, 2013 after fighting cancer for 5 years.
