Frederick's Story
Graduated from DHS in 1982. Went to NC A&T State University and graduated in 1987 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Had several job offers prior to leaving A&T. Decided to go with Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company in Burbank, CA in 1987 to work as an Avionics Design Engineer on military aircrafts. After 3 years there, I decided to change careers. I got into the property insurance industry as a Fire Protection Engineer. I worked for Kemper Insurance Company in California before transferring to Atlanta, GA. After 3 years with Kemper, I left and went to Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as a Fire Protection Consultant. ctions of large industrial and commercial properties. I left Corporate America at age 40 and started a production company and childcare center with my third wife for about 8 years, then I taught Algebra I at the middle school level for approximately 2 years before deciding to give it all up to return to Corporate America. I now work for ACE USA Property Engineering as a Senior Risk Engineer out of my home. We built a new 3,700 sq.ft. home in Raeford, NC and moved in on June 2014. My wife and I have/had a total of 5 children together; our oldest died approximately 3 years ago at the age of 30. We now have 4 living children between us and they are (daughter 29, daughter 23, daughter 19, and son 17) and 4 grandchildren.
