Frederick's Story
Life
The short version:
After graduation I attended Wichita State for three semesters then Enlisted in the Air Force. I landed at Lackland AFB on 9 April 1984 and after basic and tech school I was assigned to the Test Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. Met Rhonda, the woman silly enough to marry me, and had a daughter, Caitlin, 1 year (almost to the day) after we were married. I attended Wright State University in Ohio and finished an Associate of Science in electrical engineering. Next I applied to the Physician Assistant program and finished my B.S. in Allied Health in July of 1995. I was commissioned by the AF and then completed my Masters in Family Medicine. where I was invited to work in Internal Medicine. I then went to Thule, Greenland and when I came back, the Squadron Commander had no idea where to put me so I created my own opportunity in the Cardiology Clinic. I retired from the AF on 31 July 2005. After retirement came a position with a Cardiologist in Dayton. Didn't like it much there. I interviewed for a position with Cardiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where I started work on 26 January 2007. My Daughter Caitlin will be 21 in Oct 2009 and is getting married to Nate the same month. Nate is a real whiz kid. He will have completed his degree this summer before his 21st birthday. We really like him and are looking forward to having him as part of our family.
