Frederick's Story
I graduated early from NHS and was already half-way through college by the time my high school graduation rolled around. So my memories of that time aren't particularly strong and maybe that is a good thing. I was able to leverage my natural talent in mathematics and languages to add Russian and German to my already proficient Italian, Spanish, and French. And take jobs working overseas developing software for various governments.
After spending my twenties and thirties hiking just about everywhere in Europe and Africa (consulting to pay the bills) I've decided to settle down. I returned from my last big trip, a hike across Bulgaria to the ancient city of Plovdiv, just two days before 9-11.

warm Jacksonville, FL near Neptune Beach. We just couldn't face another freezing summer in New England. Last year we used our pool only once!! We are both looking forward to the reunion this year -- since I had to go to his reunion last year, this will be fitting justice. :-)
Now we're back in Boston, buying a small house on a little island in Boston Harbor, living a largely car-free life, commuting into the city just 4 minutes by Blue Line. We still travel as much as possible, hiking through Italy, Germany, Czech and Slovak Republics, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria. We spent this past October of 2015 hiking in Ireland, using Dublin as a home base with a rented apartment. In February of 2016, we're headed to the small island of Sao Miguel off the coast of Portugal to explore the volcanic calderas.
