My formal education started at the YWCA Nursery School in Meriden, CT (some of my classmates were Tracy P., Sandy S., and Lisa K.). Then I attended Nathan Hale Elementary School for kindergarten. Shout out to my old friends from those days (David F., Diana B., Amy Z., Lisa M., Sammy C.-RIP, Tim F., Lisa V.). My Aunt Josephine-RIP babysat me for 6 or 7 years. Lots of fun at the Meetinghouse Village pool. Special shout out to Sandy, Sharon, and Peter H.. Then I made the move to St. Stanislaus School for 1st through 8th grade. I still laugh when I think about The Highwayman poem and Amelia Bedelia. Favorite teachers: Miss Hollman, Mrs. Danowitz, and Mrs. Finegan. I started bowling in a league in 1980 and met a lot of people there over the years. Shout out to Steve C., Dave C., Matt C., Tracy and Tom P.. I passed the test for Xavier but we didn't have the money so I went to Francis T. Maloney High. Maloney turned out to be a lot of fun, especially senior year. My grades suffered a little that year but I became a more well-rounded person. I loved going to the Maloney basketball games. Sometimes I even watched the game (Wayne and Jeff you know what I mean). Lisa and Jane: thanks for the hair massages in computer class. Jeff and Ray: I had a lot of fun making the Weekly World News videos. The senior outing was lots of fun with those marathon volleyball games. Art: I know you're still doing it. You know what I mean. Jeff: thanks for the Fredmobile mix tapes. I met so many people all along the east coast and had tons of fun. I even won a couple of tournaments. Bowling in the Hamden scratch league and also bowing in all of those Fruit Salad Open tournaments was fun. RIP Michael S. I got a scholarship to go to Thames Valley State Technical College in Norwich to study Nuclear Engineering where I got an Associate's Degree. I loved getting in Tom's Fiero and booking to the Crystal Mall for lunch. I also had fun at the pig roasts and hanging out at Harkness Park. Ping pong was a blast too. I then switched majors to Computer Science and went to Eastern CT State University in Willimantic for two years and got a Bachelor's Degree. Had fun hangin' out with the CS gang (3-liter wine coolers, what were we thinking). The all-nighters in the computer room were "interesting". After college, I got my first post-college "real" job in 1992 at the FDIC in East Hartford. I had fun and learned a lot. Thanks to Ron H.-RIP for taking a chance on a raw kid by hiring me. Andy and Justin: I always look forward to the Big E trips every year. Shout out to Justin O., Andy L., Ron S., Pat L.. I enjoyed all of the bike rides with Jeff. Research Parkway here we come! I had a dog (Tuffy, a lhasa apso) from when I was 10 to 23 years old. He was the brother I never had. When he died, it was the first time I ever cried over a death. After staying at the FDIC for almost 3 years, I went to IGC Advanced Superconductors in Waterbury. I got to have my own office and ran MIS. I stayed there for 2 years. Shout out to John V., Judy W., Joe B., Kara V.. We started going to ABC Nationals in 1995 and several times after that. Each one was a great time. It was about this time (1996) that I met my present girlfriend, Becky. We have been together ever since. Sometimes it is hard for me to remember what it was like without her as a part of my life. I am a lucky person. I see life through a veil of my love for her. I then worked for Cuno in Meriden for a year in IT. Shout out to George B., Alan A., Dan L.. In 1997, I started working for MTM (a computer consulting company). They had me onsite at one of their clients (Webster Bank in Bristol, then New Britain) in the Network Services group. We had good bunch of guys that stuck together. I eventually got switched from working for MTM to working for FIS but I had the same job. I moved out of the house in 1998 and bought a townhouse condo. In the late ‘90s / early ‘00s, Willie S. and I went on several amusement park trips around the country to ride all of the best rollercoasters...lots of fun.
