Fredrick's Story
I always wanted to be a military lifer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea. As it turns out, they were right. As it happened I had enlisted directly after graduation and spent two tours of duty in Vietnam. I married Yvonne Bennett between tours in 1968.
I trained, competed and taught the martial arts for 10 years until I was disabled both from PSEG who I worked for at the Salem Hope Creek nuclear power plants and from competition. I attained a 2nd degree black belt.
I used fake hall passes to cut class.
A few authors come to mind. One is Issac Asimov and the other is Stephen King who is much deeper than his horror stories will ever show.
Lived in Riverside, Delanco, San Diego, Towanda, Hillsborro, Franklinville and finally Langhorne.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Tony Rameriez, because I served with him in Vietnam..
Internet particularly Face Book and the farming game on that site.
My biggest surprise was emergency open heart surgery in 1996 at age 46.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel front porch and add on a enclosure. My dream home would be any where with my wife.
Honesty and determination to be the best parent possible. Both our children have matured into great parents and good people to know.
I would like to see Miss Peg. She had a profound affect on me even though her only class was art.
If I won $1...Expand for more
00 million, I'd give most of it to pay for medical bills, then spend the rest on on children, charities and WIFE
To be truly happy, well I already am. It would be right where I am and with my darling wife of over 41 years.
My current age is 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be extremely old. I was so completely correct.
No aspirations about career or work. I am completely disabled so just appreciate each day as it comes.
What happened to your first crush? : She married me.
My best friend would tell you I'm a talker, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as out going.
I dress for comfort and never really get into wearing suits and ties.
What's the weirdest job you ever had?
Clerk and pumped gas at a 'cracker barrel not the restaurant. It was store in the back woods of Penn.
I share my home with my wife, which I find fulfilling.
I have dozens of martial arts trophies from the many tornaments I participated in. The last tornament I was beaten by a 23 year old mother of two. So I retired.
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? Make more friends.
My first job was at Catalytic Construction Co., where I got paid $3.95 an hour to design high voltage systems.
What I remember most about it is drafting the schematics for the engineers.
Having our pet dog put to sleep.
I hope friends remember me fondly and with a smile.
