Frosty's Story

Life Want a success story? High School graduation GPA 2.81... Went to sing at BCC - figured why not? I was All State Choir in 1982 let's see where this goes? That took me to Australia, Tahiti and Hawaii - pretty good times. Got married in Novemeber 1985 to a gal from Liberty High School. Had two awesome kids from that marriage. Went to several classes through Boeing. Divorced in 1988 - I kept the kids though... knew it was going to be hard... but it was the right thing to do - My philosophy: "Always try to do the right thing... even if it's not popular... God rewards the faithful." Got promoted to management numerous times in maintenance field. Kept training my replacement. Got really depressed about life, the failed marriage and how tough life was as a single dad. Whew! Tough years. Lost faith for a while... between 1989 and about 1994 - Got married again somewhere in that time - bad decision - my heart wasn't healed yet and had a lot of growing to do. Divorced her 5 mos. later. Between '92 and '95 I did occasionally go back to trade school for what I was interested in that was job related. Got a lot of education - 12 certificates. Started to work on me by reading a lot!! Got engaged in 1995 - she moved in, loved her with all my heart, but I had not changed completely yet... Still the mean old angry drill sargeant type - angry at the world at the smallest little thing at this point. (Thanks dad! I owe it all to you and those steal toed shoes up my rear end whenever I stepped out of line!) Got in a horrible car crash in 1996... she moved out. Then, I began the last stage, the tough job of changing me inside. Did I mention I read A LOT of BOOKS on relationships, leadership, business and real estate? In 1997 it all came together, I had a vision where I was in the tabernacle of God, singing with the angels. His Spirit told me He wasn't pleased with my lifestyle, but He knew my heart was good. He told me to go to school, take whatever classes I want to... He would bless everything I did as long as I lead responsibly with Him in my heart. He finished with "You will meet your wife in school". I thought - "WIFE?!! Who needs another wife?" yeah well let's think about this for a minute... GOD has told me to change my life, do the right thing and become successful or stay the way I am... um it took me like a second longer - DUH! No brainer right? I woke up in my bedroon surrounded by light with the songs of the angels still in my ears... Life changing experience! Went bac...Expand for more
k to school for my hobby (computer programmimg) and got my computer degrees. Sure enough, the first class I took... Met my wife in a math science class - we HATED EACH OTHER!!! Funny stuff! Wonderful woman layered behind 8 years of a marriage from hell. She had two kids also... that's 4 kids if you're counting. We got married in 1998. Finally took my hobby pro in 1999. I got hired full time in MS Dev. Support in 1999 as part of the 2000 scare that never happened. We started a real estate business with Gayla's mom. I lost my son to stupidity on 10/1/2000. Contract wasn't extended so I left MS 3 days later. We found a church we liked - 11/00 Christian Faith Center. ANOTHER LIFE CHANGING event - like shifting gears and going higher. Lost Gayla's mom to cancer in 1/2001. Had Joshua 2 wks later and David 11/02. Just had Caleb James April 1, 2004. That's 6 kids if you're counting. IN 2003, we left CFC to start a church in Tacoma with Pastor Bob and Mona Clark. We are very happy there. Today? We are leaders and teach finance classes for our church and we're a very happy and blessed family. Work? Who needs to work? Retired! Well worth the journey to get here. Thank you God! Workplace I'm a Sr. IT Consultant. Went back to school for several years, I have over 30 certs. now. Never have gotten the college degree... but after over 10 years of continued college and Computer Science I have the equivelant of a masters in education now. Since I've rededicated myself to the finer things in life - God, Family and loving people - by lightening up and not being so serious all the time, life has changed dramatically. I am a testimonial to the miracles that can happen with God in your life and when preparedness and opportunity meet. Also a testimony of what happens when a great loving woman comes into your life and cares enough to brush off the layers of damage done by an angry, abusive, controlling, manipulative father - that puts on false aires in public... by living vicariously through his son... but at home when things aren't done exactly the way he wants them - whew HELL HATH NO FURY. Tough way to grow up... was doing the same to my own children there for a while... NO MORE BABY. Life is too short and can be so much more fun... when you don't take it too seriously and focus on the family and what is right and true. Are you sitting down? In High school Mr. Keyes asked us how many kids we were going to have? I said one JUST ONE. We have 7 kids baby! Well, God did say go forth and multiply.
