Gabriel's Story
Life
Since graduating from Far Horizons, I went on to Long Beach University and proceeded to become a professional student for ten years, collecting four degrees in the process (BA history, geography, psychology; MA geography). During and after college I divided my time between construction and repair trades, and operating my own educational supply business. I got to design educational materials and lesson plans, which was enjoyable. However, construction and repair proved to be more profitable. I became an accomplished photographer because I wanted a record of the historic buildings in Orange County, and did not have the skill to draw them! My reason for being on classmates is because I like to keep the same friends over a long period of time.
For music, I like classical (Wagner, Bach, etc), early rock and roll (Chuck Berry, Jan and Dean),...Expand for more
and music from the late 70's and early 80's (Blondie, Sparks, Ramones). However, I am not too big on what is being passed off as music these days; it could be a lot better.
I really liked going to Far Horizons for junior high during the years 1980-1982 (a great time many things!) There were a lot of really good people there who I remember very well. We used to have pizza parties at the local Pizza Hut (back when they actually had a place where you could sit down and eat), and they had a jukebox full of hits, along with the video game Lunar Lander (a tough one to play). One of the things that stands out is how we would get Coke by the pitcher.
The Orange Mall was really awesome in those days...just like the Galleria! (ha ha). It had it's own movie theater and carpeted floors, as opposed to the stone floors all the malls have now.
